We are HOME

We had the best Thanksgiving... minus the traveling...

The trip down was a nightmare, horrid traffic, then blew out a tire on the side of I85 at midnight... it was lovely... Took us 9 hours to get to the NC border!

But by Wed. we were on our way to Southern Pines. We had so much fun there. Wed. night we visited with some old friends. It was nice to see everyone. Thanksgiving is was much fun. As always, the house was over crowded, kids running everywhere, and constantly under foot... but it was great.

Jonas and his cousin... isn't this an adorable pic....

Black Friday Shopping was nice. I seemed to be the only one with money to spend, but I got some great things.

Then we headed to Cary to see the ILs... We FINALLY got to see Twilight, while MIL watched Jonas... He was already in bed when we left... Of course things did not go smoothly. I swear the child has a sixth sense knowing when we are not around. He was sound asleep when we left. Shortly after we left, he started puking. Apparently on every set of clean sheets and clean clothing. Bless my ILs, they did not call us, they just took care of him. So when we got back, we found FIL washing clothes and sheets, MIL laying on teh floor, next to my mostly naked kid, with a towel stuck under his chin. FIL went out after midnight, to look for apple juice, because J said he wanted some. So for the next few hours we all took turns cleaning up puke, until I could finally get him back into bed.
He woke up great on Sat morning. So we had another Thanksgiving with all the ILs and some friends.

Then we headed out on sunday to come home, and again, horrid traffic... but at least we kept all tires in one piece....

Shew... what a long week!

So we are all adjusting to being back on a regular schedule. Jonas goes to the sleep center tomorrow for his initial appt for his sleep study. D took the day off, so he could take him to this appt, and I can actually work. I now have 3 students, and it isn't as easy to leave them to someone else.
