Busy weeks

We have been all over the place these last few weeks. We learned that D's eyes are bad again. A few years ago he was diagnosed with Macular Degeneration. It is very very rare for a person his age. It typically only hits older adults. He went through a lot of treatments, most of them very unpleasant, and it helped. The blood vessels, receded, and he was not having issues any more. Well he noticed a "spot" in his vision a few weeks ago. He got in to see a retina specialist, who confirmed the return of the blood leakage in his left eye. He has already had his first treatment this time, and will continue once a month for awhile, then it will back down to less often.

My oldest nephew graduated from college and got married this past weekend! We packed up the car and drove to Kentucky for the festivities. It was really nice. Graduation was nice, and the wedding was beautiful. We had a great time, and got to see most of our family. My poor brother got stuck in an airport after his connecting flight was canceled. He ended up not making it at all. We were very disappointed. Jonas loves his uncle Darren. Hanging out with the family was crazy, hectic, chaotic, but fun. Just like it usually is.

The reception was at a science museum, and the kids got to play in one of the play rooms.. Nathan had a great time

There was a puppet stage. Connie, J, and Seth are enjoying a puppet show put on by Sterling.

On the drive home, in West Virginia, I hit a wet spot in the Interstate, and hydroplanned. Amazingly I did not hit another vehicle, just us, the side of the road, and a cement guardrail. It was one of the scariest moments of my life. The car is not in great shape, though we do not know yet if it is totalled. It was towed to a local body shop, and we had to rent a car to get home. The good news is, we are all safe. No one was hurt. Just the car.

We had our 20 week ultrasound yesterday. We took Jonas with us, so he could see the baby. He was very excited for the first 3 minutes, then he couldn't have cared less. That's my boy. The baby is looking good, but very stubborn... very very very stubborn. it would not even give us a clue as to it's gender. Kept the feet in the way the whole time. We tried everything to get it to move, and the more we tried to get it to move, the stiller it became. So we still have no idea of the gender.
